BackBy helps you track purchases, return dates, and refunds. The iPhone app works without an account.

What stays on your device

Purchases, receipt images, extracted receipt details, custom stores, and reminders are stored on your iPhone. Receipt reading uses on-device processing. BackBy does not upload your receipts or purchase history to its servers. Your device's own backup settings may include app data.

What is sent over the network

The app downloads signed retailer policy files from our Cloudflare Pages site. Those requests do not include your receipts or purchase history. Visiting this website or fetching a policy file can expose ordinary request information, such as an IP address and browser or device details, to Cloudflare as the hosting provider. We do not use an advertising or third-party analytics SDK in the app.

When you choose to share

If you contact support@backby.app, your email provider sends the message and anything you include. Opening a retailer or carrier link takes you to that service, under its own privacy terms. Apple handles in-app purchases through StoreKit; BackBy does not receive your payment card details.

Your choices

You can edit or delete purchases in the app, and use Settings → Delete all data to remove locally stored purchases and receipts. You can turn off notifications in iPhone Settings. To ask a privacy question, email support@backby.app.
